This week I have done several things. I have started to look for fabric to use in my collection.
Also, I now have several patterns that I plan on using in my collection which are for shorts and a romper. I had a pattern for pants, but they weren't the right measurements and they wouldn't fit on my model (My sister).
Earlier in the week, I had the idea of making a bathing suit. I thought this would be a challenge, but fun to try. I think I will save this for more towards the end of the project, because I think it will be hard. I don't want to take up a lot of time working on this and not have enough time. Especially if the bathing suit doesn't work out.
I have started working on a muslin version of the shorts that I would like to make, because I want to see how they fit my model and how I can change them to fit or look nicer. I have not finished them yet. I started them on Friday, but I have just not been doing it because I wasn't quite sure how to sew the crotch of the shorts. I know it's better if I just try, but I have just thinking about how to do it, it's probably very simple. I think I am going to at least try to finish it either today or tomorrow because I want to get an idea of what my real shorts will look like. When I finish them, I'll post a picture.
Next I have to finish the muslin version of my shorts, fit them to my sister, who is going to model my collection, and see if it needs to change. After that, I guess I will start working on real shorts. I am not sure in what order I am going to make these clothes in. I am thinking that I will have ideas along the way, and want to make more, or something new, I don't know. I'm not sure yet.
